About me

Filmmaking and Technical Imaging

I am an award-winning filmmaker and DoP with over eighteen years of experience and a strong passion for visual storytelling. My career has evolved through directing and shooting two feature films, numerous commercials and web campaigns, always focusing on productions that achieve both critical and commercial success.

In 2018, I wanted to introduce an innovative approach to independent filmmaking with my debut feature film, La Banda Grossi. The film quickly garnered several awards at international festivals, establishing itself as a cult film within the independent cinema scene. Notably, it became the first Italian western to surpass 30,000 tickets sold in Italian cinemas since the golden era of Westerns in the 1960s.

The Science of Light: From Cinematography to Cultural Heritage

Over time, my knowledge of cinematography developed on film sets has naturally extended into the application of advanced technical protocols for the digitalization of cultural heritage assets. These two disciplines are both built upon the rigorous mastery of the science of light, color management and high-fidelity imaging.

Specialized Technical Imaging for Preservation

Today, I offer specialized services in ultra-high-resolution technical photography for the reproduction of cultural property, artworks, and historical architecture. My work is entirely dedicated to ensuring the maximum chromatic and geometric fidelity to the original piece.

My technical workflows are designed for long-term preservation and scientific study, adhering to stringent international quality standards such as FADGI, Metamorfoze, and the ISO 19264-1 norm. I provide institutions with master files that are ideally suited for digital conservation, fine art restoration support, and high-end art book publishing.

Whether it’s crafting a visual narrative for the big screen or meticulously preserving the essence of a masterpiece through digital reproduction, my goal remains the same: combining technical precision with creative vision.
